Hats for Helmets

Hands-on Workshop
Please RSVP to the instructor if you intend to take this class so she can bring enough materials. Email Instructor

In this class you will cut and hand sew a that to fit over your riding helmet.   At the end of the class, you will have a completed or close to completed hat.

Bring your helmet.  You will receive a complete kit (Fabric, padding, and notions) and then can choose from a selection of hat patterns designed to go together quickly.   Possible styles are 6-paneled Mongolian/Viking, Rus (santa hat!), phrygian cap, 14-15th c bag hat, 15th c Chaperone, beret, bycocket.

COST $20/kit plus extra for optional embellishments (fur, feathers, trim).  Kit is required.

Instructor

Ynesen Ongge Xong Kerij-e is a 13th century Chinese Mongolian living in the edges of the court of Kublai Khan. Kerij-e has been participating in the SCA for over 30 years and has held various offices at the Kingdom, Principality, Baronial, and Shire level.

She is a Viscountess of Artemisia, a Mistress of the Laurel and Pelican, and a Lion of Atenveldt.

She is currently the founding guild head of the Madrone Equestrian Guild.

She has been actively autocrating and participating in equestrian activities in An Tir for 12 years.
